About the Library

First founded in 1930 as the independent Lakeside Public Library, Pinetop-Lakeside Public Library is now a department of the Town, with a staff of seven full- and part-time employees. The library is housed in the beautiful 5,760 square-foot Larson Memorial Building, named for library founder Wallace H. Larson.

Our mission is to provide access to information, materials, and services for community residents of all ages.

Our vision is to become the heart of our community by providing:

  • A safe, fun, and engaging facility for community members to visit;
  • Library materials and services that meet the information and recreation needs of our community; and
  • Library programs that inform, entertain, and inspire.

Library Cards

Library cards are available for free to residents of Pinetop-Lakeside, as well as residents of Navajo County. Your card allows you to borrow library materials, use library computers, download digital media (such as e-books), and access online databases. Your card is good at all Navajo County Library District member libraries.

Computer & Internet Access

Computer guest passes are also available. Wi-Fi is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and can be used by anyone with an appropriate device.
