Vice Mayor Smith earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico State University in 1966 and his MS in business Administration at Colorado State University in 1972.

Corporate: Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, BetaWest. Small business owner: Commercial Tenant Services, Inc. He has 40 years experience in sales and leasing commercial real estate.

Family

He and wife Karen of 48 years have two sons: Carson, a tenured professor at the University of Maryland, and Kenneth, a West Point Graduate now working in the oil industry in Houston.

Hobbies

He is active in the White Mountain Open Trails Association (WMOTA), an ATV/UTV off road club, Board Member of Woodland Hills HOA and Board Member of Save Our (Woodland Lake) Park.
