Pinetop-Lakeside Town Council is accepting applications to fill council seat vacancy.
Pinetop-Lakeside, Ariz. – The Pinetop-Lakeside Town Council is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Town Council. The vacant seat term ends November 2026. However, this appointment will only extend through the 2024 general election. If the appointed council member wishes to extend this term in its entirety, they must run and be elected in the 2024 primary election and general election (if needed). Individuals interested in being appointed to fill this vacancy must be 18 years old, a qualified elector (registered voter in Navajo County), and reside within the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside boundaries for at least one year prior to the appointment by the Town Council. Council members receive a small salary of $250 a month.
Please contact Town Clerk Kristi Salskov for an application. Completed applications and resumes must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024. Applications submitted after this date and time will not be considered. Interviews will be conducted at the Town Council regular meeting on January 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Applicants must be present for the interview. The appointed Council member will take the oath of office immediately following their appointment.
