To apply for a business license, you’ll need:

  • An Application Form (see below).
  • A copy of your State Transaction Privilege Tax License (if applicable).
  • Proof of identification (in accordance with A.R.S.§ 41-1080).

Please note that all business signs in Pinetop-Lakeside require a permit.

  • Permanent signs
    • Each business is allowed up to two permanent signs:
      • one on the building
      • one on the monument sign (if there is one).
    • A permanent sign permit costs $50.00.
  • Temporary signs
    • Banner permits – free.
    • Portable sign permits – $30.00 per sign.

All new businesses are allowed a 15 day grand opening where they may use additional signage; no permit is required.  Please see the sign regulations for additional requirements and restrictions for all signs.

Payment Options

Business licenses must be renewed on July 1st of each year; the application fee is $50.  To pay it, you have three options:
