    • Meeting Agendas
      • A record of the things the Council has planned (or is planning) to talk about.

      • A record of discussions and votes that took place at Council meetings.
    • Statements of Legal Action
      • A listing of any legal actions taken by the council at a particular meeting; usually posted the day after a meeting (unlike full minutes, which can take longer to write up).
    • Mayoral Proclamations
      • Official announcements and/or public declarations issued by the Mayor.
    • Plans
      • Documents used by the Council and administration to steer the Town.
    • Reports
      • Reports submitted to the Council after specific studies or surveys.
  • Advertising & Promotion Committee
    • Council-appointed committee; recommend yearly advertising and promotional plans for the Town.
  • Audit Committee
    • Council sub-committee; one of the ways that the Council oversees the Town’s financial reporting process
  • Board of Adjustment
    • Hears and decides requests for variances from the terms of the Town’s zoning regulations
  • Justice-Magistrate Court
    • Handles civil traffic offenses, ordinance violations, and some juvenile offenses.
  • Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee
    • Appointed committee of Blue Ridge High School students, who advise the Council and administration on youth issues.
  • Municipal Property Corporation
    • Council-appointed committee; act whenever the Town buys additional property/real estate.
  • Planning & Zoning Commission
    • Council-appointed committee; formulates and administers plans for the present and future growth and development of the Town.
  • Public Safety Personnel Retirement System
    • Elected local board of the state-wide retirement system for Public Safety personnel.
