Betsy is a retired early childhood educator and has been with the library since 2020. She spent her youth and adulthood in the Phoenix area and she and her husband have been full-time residents of Lakeside since 2006.
She is eager to promote literacy, a love of books, and to help patrons find just the right book for their next adventure in reading. Betsy enjoys reading, traveling, nature, music, family and friends.

Bessie grew up in the San Tan Valley and relocated to Show Low in early 2021. She has been with the library since 2022, and loves her role as the technical assistant, cataloging and handling book loans to libraries outside the county. Bessie enjoys reading, anime, video games, music, learning other languages, her family and friends, and her dog, Blue. She is very knowledgeable about Young Adult authors and all things Manga, and Anime.

Mark has been with the library since the spring of 2022. He and Jason are the go-to folks for anything related to library computers, printing, email retrieval, placing a hold, or anything else related to our circulation and computers. Mark brings his vast knowledge of Disney and Star Wars, and a very cool pin collection to share his interests and his friendly smile welcomes everyone to our library.

Crickett has been with the library since 2022. She and her husband enjoy being year-round residents in the White Mountains and love the activities and nature of our community. She is a mother of two, a former teacher, and very proud of her family. Crickett is enjoying the creative skills she uses for social media and Marketing for the library.

Annie and her dog Richard moved back to Pinetop-Lakeside after living out of state for some time. She has been working at the library since 2022 and looks forward to continuing to get to know the people of the White Mountain Community. Annie loves spending time with her dog, live music, movies, eating, and talking about food. Annie helps at the front circulation desk and adds her creativity to the marketing team.

My name is Tammera Byers, also known as Miss Tammie at the library. I grew up in Sitka, Alaska on a sailboat called Skybird. I love Alaska, Washington, anything about the ocean, quilting, stamping/card making, and of course books. I have 5 children, 4 of them are grown and have left the nest, my youngest is 16 and is still at home. We have lived here in Lakeside for 12 years now and love it, it’s the next best place to live besides Alaska. I have always wanted to work at the library and have worked with children most of my life, the 2 have come together into the best job ever. I’m looking forward to many fun years at the PL library.
